Most of JB was flooded and I am one of the many unfortunate motorists in this city that went through hell today.
I went through the flood this morning with my optima. Water not that deep about ankle deep. Immediately after I got through the flood, the low oil pressure light was "glowing" lightly i.e. it appears and faded a bit. However, the car didn't stall nor was it jerking. I couldn't stop as I would be contributing to the already worse traffic situation.
After about 20 minutes in the jam, the low oil pressure light faded away. Anyone experience it before. I've read it somewhere in one of the forums that it has happened before, under similar conditions, going through a flood.
Thought I'd share the incident with you guys and if you have experienced it before appreciate if you could also share & if possible any reason for the low oil pressure light to light-up.

Big E, I didn't send the car to SC because the Low Pressure Light is no longer lighted up, it just faded away. The car seems to be ok i.e. didn't feel anything is wrong.

hhhmm... As for going thru flood.. what i've heard from other members is the car suddenly jerks, and can hear rough sound from underneath the car, which a lot of members thought, came from the gearbox!!?? After sending their rides to their respective SCs, it was diagnosed that flood water sipped thru the cat con and trapped the water. Most of the members decided to remove the cat con after that. I've never came across the low oil pressure light "glowing"..

Scared that it will affect warranty, if I removed the cat. By the way Big E, I read that you went up to 230 km/hr after remap ECU.. Wow... Me waiting for money to do the remap la.

Hi Big E, I'm KC. Getting my Optima soon. Read your previous posting about the ECU reprogramming. What is the FC difference b4 and after? Thanks.
