Hi,
I keep seeing the same specs written in brochures and sources in internet. Can anyone confirm whether the FRONT WHEELS are equipped with ABS or not?
Also, which wheels are monitored by TCS? All 4 or just the driving wheels?
Thanks!

i believe even the statistics showed in the brochure may not be correct........... ie. i have browsed through a virtual brochure in Korea's website, the hp should be 136 NOT 140, I think Naza-Kia rounding it up to 140......... According to that brochure, the turning radious is 5.2 (not showed in Msia' brochure). BTW, I want to know our Optima's weight..............I notice Kia never mentioned the weight in any official websites.......... may be they think that this is not a selling point (ie. the car may be too heavy) etc.............. regards

Hi, I keep seeing the same specs written in brochures and sources in internet. Can anyone confirm whether the FRONT WHEELS are equipped with ABS or not? Also, which wheels are monitored by TCS? All 4 or just the driving wheels? Thanks! TCS only controls the driving wheels.. Why? TCS will adjust engine output and breaking of the driving wheels for optional drive force. As for monitoring... hhhmmm... sorry bro.. I've to chk the user manual 1st..

Kerb/Curb weight is 1500kg, yes, it's very heavy. If not mistaken, the PV6 is 1300kg.
did anyone notice that ABS only available on the Rear wheels? I'm really puzzled, probably because there's already TCS in front, so ABS not applicable?

Hi Samuelk,
It's inline 4, DOHC, 4-speed auto with tiptronics/shiftronics (+ / -) which means you can change gears like in computer games... hehe...

Going up Genting is no problem. U can really appreciate the tronic gear going up Genting and overtaking.. As far as NVH goes... hmm... i believe it is acceptable. Up to ur own judgement. Long distance driving is a pleasure.. no problem whether u use the tronic gear, or auto trans. Before u know it, u'll be cruising at 160KM Hope u get ur ride, it's a joy to drive..
