Just one year old and my beloved Optima's central lock giving problem already! Now the driver's door lock does not open other doors. However, the central lock button and the front passenger still works fine. Braking will still lock all the doors, same as taking out keys will unlock the doors. Dont know what caused this...and very disappointed with the flaw. Hope warranty covers the malfunction. BTW, in the manual says the car will beep when you first open the door and turn on ignition.... but all i noticed was blinking signal and fog lights (if on). You guys have the same experience? Pls share.

Sorry to hear about your problem with the central lock. Mine had intermittent problem i.e. when driving the lock will unlock and then lock in quick successions until it stopped. Happened during heavy rain or car wash and I suspect water seepage into some electrical circuits. I just live with it cause don't want to have more problems through repairs by SC. Had a bad experience before when they removed the dashboard.
On the lights blinking, mine also no beep. Just blink when the door is opened.

Wah...so I'm not alone. I wonder where is the part that got wet...it's been several days, should be dry now!
My central locking also unlocks several times according to the blinking lights when put keys into ignition.... must be darn wiring problem. Now I got to be careful not to lock myself out, like when opening the house maingate (no autogate yet...hehhe...).

For those with central locking problem and under warranty, pls send to your SC.
I've got mine checked and will get a replacement unit. Waiting for it to arrive.
