I discovered that my car was wobbling at speeds of between 40km/hr - 50km/hr. It is worst when I decellarate to that speed. This wobbling was discovered when I collected my car from the SC (Ming Hong in Johor Jaya) after reparing the problem with the wet carpet. I had left the car overnight for the repair in view that the dashboard needs to be dismantled.
Supervisor suspects that one of the drive shaft is bent. But who did it? The car wasn;t wobbling (the whole body shaking) when I sent it there. He said that he will TRY to go for a warranty claim on the drive shaft, but isn't confident that it'll be approved. My car's mileage is 19k+. Besides, it'll take about a month for the approval to be processed and approved by Naza HQ. Hell, I did not cause the shaft to bent. I believe the SC should take responsibility. He said that the shaft cost about RM1.4k.
I hate this SC and would like to make a direct complain to Naza. Anybody knows how I can get Naza's attention on the poor performance and negligence of their SCs? My complains on the NCD refund had so far fallen on deaf ears at Naza. I had thought that migrating from Proton was a blessing, but Kia (Naza's SC especially) is giving me yet the worst nightmare.
Additionally, anybody knows how much the shaft cost at spare parts shops? If possible, I hate to go back to this SC. Any other ways to solve this issue? Appreciate your advice. Thanks.
Oh ya.. guys, be wary when leaving your car overnight for repairs.

One more thing which I forgot to mention is that when the ignition switch is switched to on, the ABS and TCS lights were just "ON" and then goes off after a few seconds. When I first had the car until before the dashboard removal, these lights were blinking and then off after the ignition switch is turned on. Which is correct? thanks guys.

ires
for the lights on things, it may be an indication of week battery, pls get the SC to check the battery power and to determine whether a change is necessary.

Hi ires... Pls log on to: www.nazakia.com.my/enquiry.htmlPost all your complaints there. Through my own horrible experience, a NAZA 'investigator' will be assigned to you (give them 2 working days)... . Pls also have all the necessary info ready, e.g. SC name, location, manager, etc. It would also help if you have a chronology of events that led to the bent drive shaft. ( how on earth can a drive shaft be bent ) Good luck..

dear all, thanks for the feedback & support. As per my reply in KVOptima, the wobbling car had strangely manage to solve itself. I am until now unsure what is the cause. The wobbling wasn't my imagination. I felt it on Saturday (the day I collect the car from SC) and it was also the SC's supervisor who had pointed it out to me when he asked me to ride with him upon my arrival at the SC.
Alas, it was ok on Sunday and today and I pray it will continue with its good mood. On Sunday tested the car for about 100 km. Also went to another authorised SC to check. No problems at all.
I don't know what gremlins had got into it on Saturday, but I guess the supervisor is probably inexperienced to troubleshoot the problem. As I notice most SCs are "good" at servicing, but cannot troubleshoot. I think that is very common in SCs today. Nobody has the time to troubleshoot nor would they want to trouble (pening kepala) themselves. But in my case, it never stop to amaze me as to the cause of the wobbling.
Ahh... the blingking ABS, TCS & Airbags lights. I remember very well that it will blink a few seconds and then off upon ignition on. Well it behaves differently. I checked at the 2nd SC where there are 2 other Optimas. Well, 1 was like my original, while the other was like my current. Aiya.. so what la, blink or dont blink I am not preturbed anymore... as long as it doesn';t give me the nightmares again.
So guys, the lesson learnt for me here are: -
* Cannot completely trust SCs * If possible, avoid leaving cars overnight at SCs * Don't panick. I'd like to be rational here, but why it wobbles ah? Still baffled lah.
And Big E, thanks for the referral to Nazakia enquiry. I just want Kia & Naza to upgrade/improve its services because I believe Kia is a good car. But if their SCs continue with the present level of sub-standard service, then their demise in malaysia could be imminent and it will affect all of us in the medium to longer term i.e. through much poorer resale values. I was impressed when I service the finance minister's kelisa at Perodua. I do not want Naza/Kia to be another Pr...n Perodua showed they care, though they didn't solve the earlier problem of bent drive shaft. Ah...yes my Perodua Kelisa also had a bent drive shaft from day 1 it was collected from the sales office. Solve it through a non-authorised SC - tyre shop...

Hi ires... Glad to know that the wobbling sensation is gone.. hhhmmm i'm as baffled as you.. What makes it wobble in the first place? and also.. what solve it? hahaha... what sort of biz the SC was in again? Pls someone tell me.. In the biz of tekashoot and not troubleshoot is it? Obviously it was not a bent drive shaft.. Thanks also for sharing your experience & advice.. Appreciate it.. Also.. I strongly suggest you send your ride to diagnose the wobble. I'm scared it might be a lose screw somewhere, which could lead to other serious problems..
