My ICE installer discovered water under the carpet of my beloved Optima. The water is under the right side carpet i.e front and back. Didn't notice its presence (i.e. like foul smell) until the ICE installation. I don't think water seepage occurred during the recent flood in Johor as I had not gone into "deep water". Never thought that this would happen to me, what more with a CBU car from a reputable car manufacturer. I believe & dread that the SC will require me to leave the car with them for several days to check & test (never trust hose buggers) & there will never be assurance that the problem could be solved. sigh...... It is indeed a very sad experience for me,as I had always dread water leakage in a car, as it is difficult to solve and the long term effect of rust.

Hi ires, try and check if it's the air cond's drain pipe that's been blocked and caused the water to seep in instead.. had this happened to my earlier car..

samuelk, sent it to the sc and discovered that a whole behind the dashboard wasn;t plug. SC did a water test. Had to remove the whole dashboard diagnose the problem. Collected the car today after leaving it overnight, but a new nightmare begins. Read it under Chassis, handling.

its suppose to be "a hole ..." and not "a whole" as posted earlier. Sorry for the typo.
