it is advisable to buy and install the timing belt kit from the same workshop, regardless of whether it is an authorized kia service center.
FYI, we have one friend (optima club member) buy the kit from kia parts dealer (with cheaper price) and install the kit in kia authorized service dealer.......... but end up have problems, both parties (parts dealer and service dealer are diff party) were trying to escape responsibilities.

Dear fellow Kia Optima owners!
I just joined as a new member of this forum. I undertand that some of our members have purchased timing belt complete set for (Kia Optima model 2005) from EG parts centre for very cheap price comparable from any other SC. I have confirmed this today (25/3/09) and found that the price is about RM270/complete set from EG (express genuine, Tmn Maju Jaya) parts. However can anyone confirm your experience purchase the timing belt set (Kia Optima model 2005) are genuine and reliable from this centre?
Appreciate your kind advice on this before i go an purchase. Also pls give me some idea of reliable workshop that provide cost effective installation?
Thanks a million!! law
